Purpleburst !
Une Ganesha 5 sublime en burst pourpre (sur une table de ronce de peuplier en 1 pièce), avec dômes assortis à la table. Micros Delano PC et MC, servi par un de nos préamplis préféré, le Glockenklang 3 bandes. Cette beauté a déjà trouvé un propriétaire à Taïwan par notre représentant Teddy’s Note.
Bois de Rose au Caramel !
Une première Ganesha 5 avec une couche d’époxy sur la touche magnifique en bois de rose. Une autre première avec un micro Delano en p-bass inversé, servi par un préampli 3 Leaf Audio Anima. Livrée auprès de notre représentant en Corée du Sud @ Bassgosu Shop.
Un cri de vert
A brand new colour in Cortex’s collection and one which will be here to stay. Ganesha 5 high gloss finish with binding and huge sound provided by the now famous duo Delano – Glockenklang 3 band +6dB. It was sent in Korea to our friend and dealer, @ Bassgosu Shop.
Orange à la Chris !
A custom order, after having fallen in love with our 5 string orange. We added a zero fret and Shaller strap locks. Everything is orange, except hardware (black), the fret board (as black as possible) and the strings. There will be no more « Orange à la Chris ! » in the future, as that was a promise made to the customer.

We generally love using colour on flame ash tops, as the wood seems to be woven into shape… Here an rare example of a fretted 4 with Nordstrand Dual Coils associated to a 3 band Glockenklang.
Le Coucher de Soleil de Vlad
Our first 6 fretless ever… I never thought we would sell it… After all who needs six strings on a fretless? Well it seems a lot of musicians do. Two weeks later, it was heading to a dear client of our’s in Utah. A very rare homemade pure active pickup associated to an even more rarer homemade pure active 3 volt preamp.
Blue Jeans
Here we exploded all templates in a six fretless with a maple fret board (coated with epoxy), bling hardware, concealed pickup… you have it all! A Nordstrand Dual Coil, switchable to single, associated to a 2 band Glockenklang.
Matière Noire
Ganesha unleashes its full potential with Delano pickups associated to a clean 3 band Glockenklang… Massive, and off she went to one of the bass luthier’s community preferred clients…
Beauté sans fard
Walnut, walnut and walnut, with an epoxy coated ziricote fret board. What enhances its looks are the pickup cover and finger ramp in the same spalted walnut of the top wood. Switchable Delano associated to a 2 band Glockenklang… what more do you want?

… also known as « The Remco », as it was built for him a few years ago. Chocolate maple neck with a flame maple fret board, coated with epoxy; Walnut body with a spalted maple top, the « basso voce » evolution adds a switchable Delano, associated to a 2 band Noll preamp.

High gloss fretless 4, with the homemade 3 volt electronics. The Koa top and Macassar fret board just wraps it up in a stunning look.

Précieuse
Our first Ziricote top ever, in high gloss finish, with a simple 2-band Glockenklang preamp associatted to a powerful Delano inverted p-bass pickup. Rear top is figured ash, as the fret board and the neck is a beautiful piece of rosewood. Snapped by one of our best clients in Switzerland.
A Scatter of the Brain
Spalted Maple, layed as a picture of the cerebellum in these past centuries, with over-powerful single coil Zen Blades and a 3 band Glockenklang. This one flew off to Asia to join the battle of the basses… Good luck to her…
Ziricote with a little colour, just enough to give it an exotic feeling, accentuated by the Padoul Bariolé fret board. A 3-Leaf Audio preamp, Delano pickups, and off it joined one of our favorite clients in the US.

Tribute to an Ocean Pearl
The last beautiful piece of Koa in our reserve, aquired before the terrible events in Maui. It is also probably the last we will do in Koa, in order to pay our respects to this jewel of the ocean. It received the name IMM (in memoriam Maui) to pay tribute and the tragedy that struck the island.

Cortex Bass is a very small bass manufacturer and builds 2 – 4 batches of basses per year. All basses are 100% handmade by Paul Lairat. To fit a custom order in our batches, here are the planned batches (once the debut date has been exceeded, the batch is closed to new custom orders):
